Guidelines for Submission

WE welcomes articles on any aspect of teaching English as a foreign language TEFL, including teaching methods, materials development, syllabus design, assessment and evaluation, teacher training and development, and other  areas of professional interest. It is hoped that the following guidelines will help you writing and preparing for submission.

 

General

l  Please send your article as an email attachment, and post a printed copy to the editor at the same time.

l  Articles should be double-spaced in 12-point font with 2-inch margins on all sides.

l  Please include on the title page your name, institution, address, telephone number, email address and a biographical statement of no more than 50 words.

l  Please number the pages of your article

l  Articles should be no more than 3000 words long.

l  Copies of submitted articles will not be returned.

l  WE reserves the right to republish articles.

l  The editor reserves the right to make editorial changes to the articles accepted for publication for style or clarity.

l  The editor reserves the right to ask you to reformat your article

 

Titles

Titles should be about 10 to 15 words The editor reserves the right to make changes to the titles.

 

Headings and subheadings

Headings and subheadings with no letters or numbers at the beginning should be typed as separate lines.

 

References

References in the text to other publications should be clear and present the following details: author’s name, date, and page number, e.g. (Swan 1999:10). Please list references in alphabetical order using the following format author(s), date of publication, title (in italics), place of publication, and publisher, e.g. Crystal, D. 1997. English as a Global Language. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.

 

Legality

Under Intellectual Property Rights legislation, it is not permitted to use the work/research findings of other author(s) without referencing your source(s).

 

Illustrations

If you need to include illustrations, such as diagrams, tables, charts, etc. please send them on a separate sheet of paper. Please label them clearly, e.g. Figure 1, Figure 2, etc. References to illustrations should be clearly indicated in parentheses in the text, e.g. (Insert Figure 1 here).

 

Style

Articles should be clearly and coherently written.

30 January for the March issue  

30 April for the June issue

30 July for the September issue

30 October for the December issue
