IATEFL China Vision Statement

Through the organization, TEFL teachers and researchers will be able to share knowledge, expertise and experiences for the advancement of professional development，the enhancement of the effectiveness of TEFL methodology and the improvement in the standard of TEFL education for learners.

Aims:

l To provide support for TEFL teachers in all sectors of education (from primary to tertiary) in China by establishing a nationwide network of teachers and researchers for the exchange of information, views and expertise;

l  To establish a nationwide forum to debate controversial issues in ELT;

l To provide teachers with information about TEFL methodology and the recent research developments in China and worldwide;

l  To link TEFL developments in China with the rest of world;

l  To promote deeper intercultural understanding and respect;

l To bridge different perspectives for the excellence in TEFL teaching and learning.
